That’s because the life we live now is a test period. The human anatomy is temporary but the spirit/soul is the part which may qualify forever. So during our trial time the soul remains safe even if the temporary vehicle/ vessel/ tree/ house/ temple etc.. dies.
All the confusion and suffering is to show all of mankind live action of what happens when we have to many authoritarians and many beliefs to go along with those beliefs. There is only one ABSOLUTE PERFECT AUTHORITY, and it belongs in the hands of the one that created all things. In this temporary test of life there is much falsehood and things being done in darkness and behind the scenes which impact life in a human effort, but OUR CREATOR allows it as a method for separating the good from the bad, they need to be separated to someday live as their behavior has chosen during the test of life. we are not for our creators amusement life as it is should not be blamed on OUR CREATOR, but on free will thinking and doing human beings that divide themselves among each other then hate many things about each other.
